I think my Cubbies could use some encouragement. I gotta say, this season has not been one where I've followed baseball closely thus far... despite having created a fantasy baseball team (you'd think that would make me more prone to follow what's going on, not less... hmm).
Heading to the Windy City (or thereabouts) for our annual 4th of July trip! I look forward to this every year because it's right about the time when Summer hits NC full force and every year I think, "Maybe this year I'll be able to handle the heat better." And every year June/July arrives and I become a hermit, staying nice and cool inside my air conditioned house feeling lethargic because of the heat and going crazy because I hate being a hermit and feeling cooped up.
And then we escape for one glorious week back to the midwest. High of 65... SIXTY FIVE! today!!! I can't wait! The rest of the weekend there is supposed to be marvelous, some 70s, an 80 or two... not a degree over 83 in sight. *sigh of happy contentedness* Now THAT is what Summer is supposed to be like: weather that invites you out of doors, not chases you from one a/c unit to another.
AND my family is there :) can life get any better? I submit that it cannot!
